"My favorite memory is working on the Alliance High School stage crew."

"Robert Shafer was an influential staff member. He was a 6th grade teacher who also umpired my baseball games and so many others."

Choosing to work for ACS:
"I chose to work for ACS for the chance to give back and help future students succeed."

Importance of giving back:
"Had it not been for the people who helped me, I may not be here today. I was once someone’s 'why'."

Cheryl Jackson's class at Alliance Middle School have been studying apples and their five senses. 👃 Recently, they used their senses to make art with apples! 🍏 They created apples out of crushed tissue paper and stamped with apples. Everyone enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to future activities! #RepthatA

The preschoolers were so excited to have their grandparents spend the day with them last week! They did fun crafts, got their faces painted, tasted red and green apples, visited the book fair and played at sensory tables. What a special day for our youngest Aviators! ✈ #RepthatA

Favorite Memory:
"My favorite memories involve times when I was learning through experiences...a 4th grade play with Julie Poyser, middle school invention competition with Sally Vasilevich, cross stitching in Bill Carli's geometry class, and making a silent film with friends for Jim Ballor's humanities class."

Influential Staff Members:
"My honored educator my Senior year was Jim Ballor. He knew so many things about so many different topics and it was just fascinating to not just learn about English but also talk about movies and music and theater.

I met Gary King when I was in elementary school and he was working at Rockhill. Over the years he moved around in various roles and coaching jobs but was always someone who made me feel important and welcome."

Choosing to work for ACS:
"I recognize that many doors were open to me and many adults pointed me towards those open doors. I felt called to return and help students find their path to success even when their journey might be more challenging than mine."

Importance of giving back:
"I think it helps build trust between teachers and families when they know you grew up as an Aviator. There is something special about working with the children of people who were once my classmates and also seeing former students of mine out working in the community."

Science is fun, especially when butterflies are involved! 🦋 The students in Tanya Cooler's class at Alliance Early Learning School raised butterflies through all their stages of life, and were thrilled when they had the opportunity to release them! Some of the butterflies didn't want to leave thier friends and stuck around for a while. 😊 #RepthatA

The students in the Video Productions Career Tech program visited Ohio University, where they toured the campus and explored the Scripps College of Communication’s media production facilities. 🎥 Experiences like this give students a firsthand look at career paths in their field and show how their classroom learning connects to real-world opportunities. It’s just one of the many ways our Career Tech programs prepare Aviators for Life, College, and Careers! ✈️ #RepthatA

Alliance Intermediate School students had a blast at Butler Rodman Park for their incentive trip! From playing games to hanging out with friends, it was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work and positive choices. ✈ #RepthatA

Tracy Bowser's Kindergarten class read several different versions of "The Little Red Hen!" They talked about setting and characters, and even acted out the story and became bakers! The students had so much fun making homemade bread and butter. 🍞😋 What a yummy activity for these amazing little Aviator bakers! #RepthatA

"I have 4 children growing up through ACS in 6th, 5th, 3rd and 1st grade. Engaging with your community first hand addressing local needs, it helps with diverse perspectives and building a strong foundation."

⚾👏 A big shoutout to Jonny Ferrall! 👏⚾

Jonny, a 5th grader, attended a Cleveland Guardians youth baseball camp this summer, where over 200 kids participated in hitting, running, throwing and fielding drills. Out of the various camps, the top 10 players in each age bracket were invited to compete at Progressive Field for Champions Day! Jonny earned his spot after placing 9th in his bracket!

At the Champions Day Competition on Sept. 20, Jonny showed off his skills and placed 2nd in his age group after competing in three competitions: exit velocity, timed sprint and fielding/throwing.
