Alliance Intermediate School hosted a STEM showcase! Students in the all year STEM elective shared their solutions to the problem of security.
Students determined their problem themselves and used the Design Process (Ask/Imagine, Plan, Design/Create, Improve, Share) to create a solution to their problem.

The students in Kaley Sloane's and Kara Hill's class have been learning about different sounds they hear around them and how different types of music can have different sounds. They then went around the building to conduct a survey to determine Alliance Elementary School's favorite type of music.
The students had fun exploring the building to find different staff members to participate in the survey. Once the data was collected they worked together to graph it and find the results. Based off their findings, country music was the winner! #RepthatA

Students at Alliance Middle School took part in the very first Career Cafe this week! The Career Cafes allow students at Alliance Middle School and Alliance High School to learn about different career fields from guest speakers.
This week, Renato Camacho visited to talk to the students about his position as the CEO and President of the Akron-Canton Airport. The students learned that an airport is like a small city and holds many of the same job opportunities. Airports need lawyers, engineers, maintenance staff and many more to ensure everything runs smoothly.
