It's Spirit Week at Alliance High School! Today was MTV Monday, where the staff and students dressed like the '80s! 📺 The staff had a ton of fun with the throwback theme, dressing in neon colors and leg warmers. It sure felt like the '80s again! 🕺 #RepthatA

The staff at Alliance Intermediate School love having secret spirit days! 🤫 The students have no idea when they will occur or what the theme is for the staff members, but they have a blast trying to figure them out. Last week, they had a "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" spirit day where all staff members wore sweatpants to school.

“Alliance High School helped me prepare for my career by offering AP classes like AP Chemistry, which introduced me to concepts earlier than I might have originally.”

Favorite Memory from High School:
“Most Friday nights with the marching band and Mr. Fontaine, Mrs. Shive, and Mr. Sheak. I loved to play with the band and always had something to look forward to.”

Advice for Current AHS Students:
“Work hard towards your goals. If it was easy, everyone would do it.”

Influential Staff Member:
“Mrs. Kelly Trout. She is one of the biggest reasons why I pursued chemistry. If she hadn’t made chemistry so engaging, I’m not sure what I’d be doing.”

Each year, Alliance City Schools participates in Start With Hello Week! 👋 A simple "Hello" has the power to change a person's entire day. Throughout the week, all Aviators will participate in activities that strive to make connections, build relationships and provide a sense of belonging in our school community.

Students in Renee Marinchek's art classes at Alliance Intermediate School celebrated International Dot Day by reading "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds and creating their very own unique dots! ⚫ They utilized the app Quiver to transform their dots into vibrant, moving three-dimensional spheres through augmented reality. The students were thrilled to witness their creations come to life!

Cheryl Jackson's class at Alliance Middle School learned about hot air balloons! 🎈 At the end of the week, they did a fun science experiment with pennies and helium balloons. 🧪 Great job, Aviators! #RepthatA

Alliance City Schools is proud to be part of United Way's Strong Neighborhood, Strong Families initiative! 🏡 The program began at Alliance Preschool and expanded to Alliance Early Learning School last year. A ribbon cutting was held at Alliance Elementary School this week to welcome them to the program.

Strong Neighborhood, Strong Families is a school-based family support program geared toward supporting families with housing, transportation, food resources and so much more. Chris Trieff, a Community Health Worker from Access Health Stark County, is leading the charge in helping to address the needs of Aviator families through this program.

We are beyond grateful for United Way of Stark County, Access Health Stark County and all the other fantastic organizations who help to make Strong Neighborhood, Strong Families possible in three of our schools! 💙 The impact it is having on our Aviator families is incredible. #RepthatA

The AHS Swim Team is getting ready for the 2026-27 season! 🏊‍♂️ Students and parents interested in learning more about the team are invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 pm in Room A at Alliance High School.

Crystal Gibbons' 1st grade class had their first guest reader of the year! 📚 Mariah Gibbons, Mrs. Gibbons' daughter, read "Skippy Jon Jones Lost in Space." 🚀 It was also her birthday, and the class made sure to give her her very own birthday crown and balloon! 🎈

Alliance Intermediate School recently celebrated Grandparents & Special Persons Day! 🎉 Students brought in guests for part of the day. They got to see classrooms, visit the book fair and take part in some fun activities! 😊 #RepthatA

The Pride of the Sky headed to the Lake this past weekend for the Lake Band Show! 🎶🥁 They gave a fantastic performance and represented A-Town well. Way to go, Aviators! ✈️ #RepthatA

Celebrating what makes our Aviators unique! After reading "The Best Part of Me," the 3rd graders in Chelsea Young's class wrote about their favorite parts of themselves.

This literacy activity encouraged writing while building self-confidence, self-love, and appreciation for their individuality. We are proud of our Aviators for celebrating what makes each of them special! ☺️ #RepthatA

#LikeAGirl is back for the school year! 🩷 The first topic explored was “Rooted in Strength,” where Stephanie McKnight spoke about how much we are like flowers and what we need to develop strong roots and grow strong. 🌷 Then all of the girls got to decorate their own clay pot and plant flower seeds to grow their own flowers at home. 🪴 It was so much fun seeing old and so many new faces at #LikeAGirl! 🩷 #RepthatA

AHS sophomore Elijah Johnson had an incredible opportunity to audition and be accepted into the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir! 🎶 He spent 18 days at the Ohio State Fairgrounds learning music, meeting new people and performing up to four times in one day! 🎤

During his time with the choir, Elijah was also named Chorister of the Day and recognized for his growth throughout the experience! 👏

What a great opportunity for Elijah to be a Courageous Risk Taker while collaborating with other talented choir students from across Ohio! Congratulations! ✈️ #RepthatA

Happy Labor Day, Aviators! 🇺🇸 #RepthatA

Tracy Bowser's kindergartners read "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" 📚 They sorted pictures with a friend into "bucket filler" or "bucket dipper," then practiced giving compliments and filling each other's buckets with coins. The students then wrote a message on the back of paper buckets and walked around the building giving them to staff to practice filling others' buckets. 🪣
