Alliance City Schools once again received the Ohio Auditor of State Award! Only 4% of entities audited by the state receive this recognition.
Thank you to the entire ACS staff for their diligence in ensuring all finances have been reported accurately and in a timely manner. Alliance Middle School students recently took part in a Game of Life simulation where they were assigned a career, relationship status and family and had to learn how to budget in order to purchase everything they needed! They had to visit stations where the chose their housing, transportation, furniture, child care, bills and more. There was even a station where they got a random card that could either give them additional money or make it to where they had to pay an additional cost for something they hadn't budgeted for.
Financial literacy is an important part of a students education. We are proud to be able to offer activities, such as this one, that will help to prepare students for life after graduation. #RepthatA
The 3rd graders from Alliance Elementary School celebrated the end of the school year with a party at Butler Rodman! They spent the day playing games, running around and having fun in the sun! ☀️ #RepthatA

The Caboose in Downtown Alliance has a new look thanks to our Caring Citizens in Steve Cabassa's art classes at Alliance High School! 🧑🎨
Last year, the caboose caught fire. As part of the restoration, all the windows were closed up to help prevent vandalism. The caboose is mainly used as a stage now for summer concerts.
Rick Baxter, the president of the Alliance Chamber of Commerce, reached out and asked for art students to paint the windows of the caboose so it looked like people are inside dancing. 💃 A group of six students were selected to complete the project

Alliance Intermediate School recently held a fun day incentive for their students! They took part water games, tug of war and a bunch of other stations while enjoying the warm weather! #RepthatA
Alissa Batdorff's class at Alliance Elementary School has been writing back and forth to penpals in Alicante, Spain! Kamryn Bondoni, a 2021 graduate of Alliance High School, is currently teaching English abroad in Spain as part of her study abroad program through Mount Union. The students in both classes have been exchanging letters since February!
Mrs. Batdorff's class spent time learning about Spain and their culture through pictures, maps, videos, snacks and virtual tours sent by Kamryn. They've even learned a little bit of Spanish!
The class truly enjoyed learning more about and exploring another country through other students' eyes! #RepthatA

The Alliance Middle School music department traveled to Kennywood this weekend to perform! The band, orchestra and choir all earned superior ratings in their divisions and the choir won overall top choir!

Our final senior to recognize is Anna Eversdyke! She will be attending the University of Mount Union as an Investment Alliance Scholar where she plans to double major in psychology and music.
During her time at AHS, she was involved in golf, academic challenge, jazz band, choralaires, marching band, student senate, class officer, key club, Jetsetters, National Honor Society President and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Lucius Rowser will be employed full time at Ohio Gratings as a welder/fabricator following graduation!
During his time at AHS, he was involved in track, football, social justice club, leadership program and the welding career tech program.

Tanya Coler's class at Alliance Early Learning School spent some time learning about the life of a butterfly! 🦋 They watched caterpillars grow into beautiful butterflies and released them once they were ready. What a cool experiences for our young Aviators! #RepthatA
Eva Miller will attend the Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute to major in sustainable agriculture before finishing a bachelor's degree on the main campus!
During her time at AHS, she was involved in soccer, jazz band, Jetsetters band, marching band, concert band, orchestra and the horticulture career tech program at Marlington.

Alliance Middle School students have returned from the Washington DC Honors Trip! They had tons of adventures over the four day trip!
They visited Flight 93 National Memorial, saw the Herndon Monument Climb, toured the US Naval Academy, went on a ghost tour in Alexandria, VA, visited the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial monument, the World War II memorial, the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery and the White House. They also took part in the DC Trolley tour and a river cruise!
