She is Excited for New Role as Instructional Coach
Christine Gibowicz is stepping down as director of curriculum and instruction for Alliance City Schools. She is excited to step into her new role as an instructional coach at Alliance Middle School.
Gibowicz has been a valued member of the Alliance City School District for the past ten years. In her time here, she has served as principal of Alliance Early Learning School, director of curriculum and instruction and now as an instructional coach, where she will put her passion for education to good use by assisting staff and students at Alliance Middle School with their educational careers and journeys.
“I have truly enjoyed my time as the director of curriculum and instruction these last three years,” Gibowicz said. “But I have deeply missed being a part of a school setting where I am able to help the staff members and take an active role in the students’ education. I feel stepping into this position is the best decision for me right now, and I am thrilled to be able to continue to serve as a member of the Alliance Aviator team.”
Having previously served as a middle school teacher at East Middle School in Warren, she is looking forward to being back in the classroom with students and teachers. As an instructional coach, she will support teachers in the latest instructional techniques.
“Chris has proven that she is a dedicated and impactful school administrator. While I am sad to see her step down from her current position, I am equally excited to see her work more directly with teachers as an instructional coach and helping them grow” said Rob Gress, superintendent.
The Alliance Board of Education approved the resignation of her current position and hiring of her new position at the Regular Board Meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 18. ACS will begin their search for a new administrator to handle curriculum and instruction in the coming weeks.
