ALLIANCE, OHIO – (July 25, 2023) – Alliance City Schools (ACS) and Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) have worked to strengthen their partnership. Starting in January 2024, C&A will move from their current location at 1207 W. State St. to Alliance Preschool, formerly Parkway Learning & Development Center, located at 1490 Parkway Blvd.

C&A will continue to offer the same behavioral health services in the new location. The Alliance Office located at Alliance Preschool will offer walk-in services available to the Alliance community.

“Expanding our partnership with C&A will better help us achieve our vision of preparing students for life, college and careers,” said ACS Superintendent Rob Gress.  “Mental and behavioral health has been and will continue to be a priority of ours. Having C&A so close will allow our students and those within the Alliance community to have the best possible access to services to ensure the needs of the whole child are being met.”

In addition to serving ACS and Marlington Local Schools with school-based services, this office will offer therapy, psychiatric services, prevention services and other behavioral health services and programs tailored to the Alliance community.

“Moving our offices into Alliance Preschool is exciting for C&A. We believe in serving families in trusted environments, where the client is most comfortable and Alliance Preschool is just that,” said C&A CEO Joe French. “We have an excellent partnership with Alliance City Schools and are proud to partner with the district on this latest initiative. This office arrangement is similar to our Plain office at GlenOak High School and has served the Plain community well. We look forward to amazing success in Alliance as well.”

The Alliance community has seen a need for increased services in recent years. This location will enable us to serve the community in a more efficient and effective way.

"Similar to the Alliance City Schools mission- When we work with the child, we work with the entire family. We want to make sure parents and guardians are part of that success," French said. “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the Alliance community since 1979 and we look forward to this next chapter.”

Having C&A within ACS will allow for students and families to have easier access to the valuable resources and services they offer students.

“We look forward to helping them settle in their new location and expanding our partnership with C&A and all its staff members,” Gress said. “We’re proud of our community partnerships, such as this one, and look forward to more opportunities where we can partner with organizations in the Greater Alliance Area.”

The C&A offices will be located on the second floor of Alliance Preschool along with a couple other partnered agencies including Early Childhood Education Alliance (ECEA) and SPARK.

C&A will begin their transition to the new location at the end of 2023 and be fully opened at Alliance Preschool by January of 2024.
