Yesterday, the drop off lines at AP, AELS, AES and AIS were filled with smiles as fathers and father figures joined students for the Stark County Fatherhood Coalition’s Fathers Walk Your Child to School Day! 🩵❤️

We are proud to be part of this tradition each year, and this time we had more than 350 fathers and father figures participate! Their presence is a powerful reminder of the value of showing up, supporting children and helping them soar. ✈️ #RepthatA

Our 1st graders loved welcoming their grandparents to school yesterday! After showing off their classrooms, they gathered in the gym for crafts, activities and memory-making. It was such a special day filled with smiles! ❤️🩵 #RepthatA

Two classes of American Sign Language II students participated in "ASL Chopped!" 🌮🍛

Students signed, communicated and collaborated in ASL to create, make and present their meal from a mystery food list. Only one group could make the cut!

This is such a great project that encourages students to build their ASL skills in a fun and creative way! Shout out to Deana Collins for organizing a fun and engaging activity for her ASL II classes! 🤟 #RepthatA

The Alliance vs. Canton Central Catholic Varsity Football game has been nominated for the Cleveland Browns Game of the Week! If the game is selected, the Aviators have a chance to get $3,000 for the football program if they win on Friday!

President Greg King and a few other representatives from the University of Mount Union stopped by Alliance High School yesterday to officially award the top 15 students in the Class of 2026 with the Investment Alliance Scholarship! The program offers students a four-year, full-tuition scholarship following graduation from AHS.

Each student will have a personalized visit to Mount Union scheduled this fall where they will meet students and professors in their intended major and visit clubs and even athletic programs they are interested in joining.

Last year a record number of recipients accepted the scholarship with 11 of the 15 beginning their journey at Mount Union this fall!

Since its inception in 2014, Mount Union has awarded 195 students in 13 classes with the scholarship, and to date, 108 have taken advantage of the program. The students in the Class of 2026 who accept the scholarship will be announced in the spring at the annual Senior Scholarship & Career Commitment Night.

We are beyond grateful to have Mount Union as a dedicated partner! There is no other institution around that invests both their time and resources in their local high school. The impact this program has had over the years is astounding to say the least! 💜 #RepthatA

Thursday is the Stark County Fatherhood Coalition's annual Fathers Walk Your Child to School Day. Fathers and father figures of students at Alliance Preschool, Alliance Early Learning School, Alliance Elementary School and Alliance Intermediate School are encouraged to take part in this great family engagement event! #RepthatA

Alliance Intermediate School was filled with smiles as they welcomed grandparents and special guests for a special Grandparents Day celebration! Students loved sharing their school day and making memories with their loved ones. ❤️ #RepthatA

Our kindergarten friends in Tracy Bowser's class observed monarchs throughout their life cycle! 🦋 They watched them grow from eggs to larva to pupa to beautiful adult butterflies. Each student enjoyed getting to hold a butterfly with giggles and smiles. The class released three adult butterflies so far with five more in different stages of life! #RepthatA

The first #LikeAGirl session of the school year is coming up on Sept. 24 from 6-7pm at Alliance High School! The guest speakers will be Kelly Barthel and Stephanie McKnight and the topic of this session is about positive affirmations. We cannot wait to see you there! 🩷 #RepthatA

To celebrate National Cheese Pizza Day on Sept. 5, students in Casey Cross's Kindergarten class spent the morning learning the history of pizza, reading "Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party" and learning "The Pizza Man Dance." 🍕 Each student then assembled and baked a personal pizza in the morning to enjoy as their afternoon snack! 😋
