Aviator Families with students 18 and older,

\r\n

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a vaccination clinic at Alliance High School for students 18 and older. This opportunity will extend to parents, guardians and siblings 18 and older who live in the same household as the student.

\r\n

During this clinic, students and their eligible family members will receive the Moderna Vaccine. Moderna requires two doses four weeks apart in order to provide the recipient with 94.1% effectiveness against COVID-19. A frequently asked questions page for the vaccine can be found here: COVID Vaccination FAQ Page.

\r\n

The first dose will be administered during the first clinic on Friday, April 30 at 12 p.m. Those choosing to take part in the clinic will receive an email with their designated appointment time on Tuesday, April 27. The second dose will be administered on Friday, May 28.

\r\n

After receiving the vaccine, each person will be required to wait in a designated seating area for 15 minutes before being permitted to leave out of precaution.

\r\n

If you are interested in taking part in the vaccination clinic, you must fill out the electronic sign-up form on ParentSquare no later than Friday, April 23. Please note, only parents are able to fill out the form below to sign-up for the clinic.

\r\n

If the student is participating in the clinic, they must bring the signed consent form (found on ParentSquare) from their parent/guardian with them to the clinic. If they do not bring the signed consent form, they will not be permitted to receive the vaccination. All attendees will be required to fill out the registration form (found on ParentSquare) and bring it with them to the clinic. The forms can either be printed or a hard copy can be picked up in the main office at AHS.

\r\n

When students and family members attend the clinic, it is important they attend during their scheduled time. If they arrive early, they must remain in their car until their appointment time. Each person will be required to wear a mask above the nose and below the chin at all times and practice social distancing.

Currently students who are 16-17 years old are not able to take part in the clinic. Moderna is only approved for those 18 years and older. We are hopeful that in the near future, we will be able to hold a clinic for students who are 16-17 when the Pfizer vaccine is available in our area. Currently, Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for individuals under the age of 18.
