The Akron Zoo wrapped up their visits to the kindergarteners! The students met two final animal friends, a turtle and a giant African millipede, during the last visit. Each student received their own stuffed animal and a special book they could read with their families. #RepthatA

The “Here Comes the Bus” app is currently down. Unfortunately, we are anticipating the app to be down until mid-February. Verizon Wireless no longer supports the 3G equipment on our buses effective January 1. New 4G equipment has been ordered; however, due to shipping delays we are still waiting for the equipment to arrive so it can be installed. We will send out an update once the app is back up and running. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions regarding busing, please contact the Bus Garage at 330-829-0348.

Superintendent Rob Gress read "The Gingerbread Man" to Cheri Ruttig's class at Alliance Early Learning School! The students enjoyed the story and finding the hidden mouse on each page of the book. #RepthatA

Who remembers making one of these? The Christmas Chain "Christmas Day will soon be here And I can Hardly wait! I've made this little Christmas chain To help me celebrate. Superintendent Rob Gress and Michelle Balderson, the Director of Elementary Education, spent some time with Crystal Gibbons first grade class yesterday! They read "The Polar Express" and gave each student a special bell that Santa sent from the North Pole! #RepthatA

Tracy Bowser's kindergarten class spent the morning building gingerbread houses! Parents volunteered to help the students as they built and decorated their houses. There were tons of decorations available, including candy, pretzels, marshmallows and even little gingerbread men! #RepthatA

AHS students from the Jobs for Ohio Graduates (JOG) program read to the preschoolers at AELS yesterday! #RepthatA

The admin at Alliance Early Learning School found a fun way to thank their staff during the holiday season! Each day, the staff open a door on their advent calendar to reveal a gift. So far, they have opened a pair of holiday socks, chapstick and popcorn! Shout out to Principal Holly Power and Assistant Principal Adam DeMonte for putting together this fun surprise for their staff! #RepthatA

Students at AELS and AES took part in a safety drawing contest hosted by Morgan Engineering. Six students from each school had their drawings selected to be in the 2023 Morgan Engineering safety calendar. Each school also received a generous donation. We are beyond grateful for our partnership with Morgan Engineering and all of our community partners! Did you know you can recycle old Christmas lights? Alliance City Schools has partnered with Keep Alliance Beautiful to collect old Christmas lights to recycle. They can be dropped off in the boxes outside of each building starting tomorrow through Dec. 16. #RepthatA
