The ACS Fine Arts Showcase kicks off on Monday with the Visual Art Show Reception!
The Art Show will open each night there is a performing arts event from 6-8 pm. The Art Show will not be open during school hours or on Friday, May 12 and Sunday, May 14. #RepthatA

Alliance City Schools will be participating in the Hunger: The Bus Stops Here food drive for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank next week. Food donations can be dropped off at any of the school buildings Monday, April 24 – Friday, April 28. #RepthatA

The 4th graders at AIS visited the Haines House last week. The students learned about its history as part of the Underground Railroad and toured the house to see where the fugitive slaves were hidden to keep them from getting caught. They also learned about how the family lived in the 1800s with no electricity or modern technology. #RepthatA

The Alliance Intermediate School's Navigators extension program, Sports Clinic wrapped their basketball unit and moved outside to start learning soccer basics. Coach Denise Waggoner created a soccer tag game to help the boys practice skills, have fun and enjoy the start of spring! #RepthatA

Alliance Intermediate School hosted a STEM showcase! Students in the all year STEM elective shared their solutions to the problem of security.
Students determined their problem themselves and used the Design Process (Ask/Imagine, Plan, Design/Create, Improve, Share) to create a solution to their problem.

Alliance Intermediate School hosted another Muffins & Masterpieces with Mrs. Marinchek last week! Families enjoyed muffins and other sweet treats as they painted a hummingbird canvas under the direction of art teacher Renee Marinchek.

Alliance Intermediate School's bottle cap mural is almost done! The students and some volunteers have been hard at work painting and drilling the caps on the last few weeks. We can't wait to see it complete! #RepthatA




Alliance Intermediate School recently held their middle of the year raffle for the AIS Academic Challenge. Students who made both reading and math growth on the iReady diagnostic were entered into the top prize category. Students who made growth in one of those areas were entered into the runner-up prize.
5th grader Emma Kinney and 4th grader Leddie Nagle won top prize.
5th grader Isaiah Wilkes and 4th grader Jayden Ross won the runner-up prizes.
