The ACS Fine Arts Showcase kicks off on Monday with the Visual Art Show Reception!
The Art Show will open each night there is a performing arts event from 6-8 pm. The Art Show will not be open during school hours or on Friday, May 12 and Sunday, May 14. #RepthatA

Congratulations to Bianca Burwell, art teacher at AMS, for being selected as the Teacher of the Year and Alexis Stallman, intervention specialist at AES, for being selected as the Rookie of the Year!

The 6th graders at Alliance Middle School held their annual Metric Olympics! Each Class chose a country to represent. They researched the country to learn about where it is and facts about it. During the two day event, the students competed on behalf of their class in various math-themed activities that required use of the metric system. What a fun event! #RepthatA

Alliance City Schools will be participating in the Hunger: The Bus Stops Here food drive for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank next week. Food donations can be dropped off at any of the school buildings Monday, April 24 – Friday, April 28. #RepthatA


The Alliance Middle School National Junior Honor Society gained new members this week! Congratulations to all the new inductees! #RepthatA




Alliance Middle Schools students participated in a school wide Bookmark Design Contest. Student's submitted designs and then voted for their peers.
Congratulations to 8th Grade winner Sonjia Johnson, 7th Grade winner Izabella Kinney, and 6th Grade winner MaKenzi Owens!
The winners received a set of their own bookmarks to pass out to family and friends as well as copies in the Library for their peers to use. Great job, AMS! #RepthatA

Students at Alliance Middle School took part in the very first Career Cafe this week! The Career Cafes allow students at Alliance Middle School and Alliance High School to learn about different career fields from guest speakers.
This week, Renato Camacho visited to talk to the students about his position as the CEO and President of the Akron-Canton Airport. The students learned that an airport is like a small city and holds many of the same job opportunities. Airports need lawyers, engineers, maintenance staff and many more to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Students will have the opportunity to take part in more Career Cafes in the future! #RepthatA

Alliance Middle School collected over 700 books that will be donated to the ACS school libraries, children's hospitals and shelters! AMS would like to thank the Builder’s Club students and Lisa Buehman, the AMS librarian, for helping sort through the books. #RepthatA #CaringCitizens


The 4th Annual Royal Aviation Show Choir Competition was a blast! 13 schools from around Ohio and West Virginia competed for a chance to be crowned the Grand Champion.

AMS has a new Spelling Bee Champ! Congratulations to Owen Zupanic for winning the spelling bee last week and to Wyatt Csaki for taking second place. #RepthatA



The students and staff at Alliance Middle School had the opportunity to hear Markus McFolling speak today! Markus is the founder of REACH1, which stands for Reconciling Every Abandoned Child Home.
Throughout his life, he has faced adversity in many forms. He travels to schools to tell his life story and to show students that they can overcome adversity and that they are loved and needed.
His story is an inspirational one and ACS families and community members have the chance to hear from Markus tonight at 7 pm at Alliance Middle School. This presentation is free and open to all who wish to attend! #RepthatA
