Our 1st Graders Celebrated the 120th Day of School! 🎉
A key 1st-grade math standard is counting to 120, so instead of celebrating the 100th day of school like many other students in the district, our 1st-grade team makes learning fun by celebrating 120 days of learning!
Students created 120th-day school projects and presented them to their peers in a fun parade-style presentation! What an exciting way to bring math to life!
Great job, Aviators! 👏🔢 #RepthatA

The kindergartners in Tracy Bowser's class at Alliance Early Learning School were surprised with their very own Dr. Seuss stuffies thanks to Brittany Steed! She spent months thrifting the stuffed animals for her son and his classmates so each child could have one during Dr. Seuss week.
What an amazing gift for our kindergarten friends! Thank you, Ms. Steed, for your kindness and generosity! 🩵❤️ #RepthatA

Career exploration starts early at Alliance City Schools, helping students dream big and see endless possibilities for their futures. By introducing career concepts now, we're meeting our vision of preparing some of our youngest Aviators for life, college and careers! ✈

Alliance High School cosmetology teacher and alum, Robert Fountain '08, visited the kindergarten classes at Alliance Early Learning School to tell them about his careers as a teacher and salon owner!
The students loved hearing about his jobs, asking him questions about what it's like to be a teacher and salon owner and learning about the tools he uses to cut hair. He even reminded them about the importance of never cutting their own hair! ✂

Connilyn Cross' and Carrie LeBeau's kindergarten class recently learned about Chinese New Year! This was a great opportunity to discuss common East Asian practices to get ready for the new year and to compare and contrast these practices to the ones frequently used in western new year traditions. Students made dragon masks, scrolls depicting the year of the snake, and enjoyed long noodles to encourage a long and healthy life! Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, was a chance to celebrate the new year in a new way for most kindergartners! 🏮🐲 #RepthatA
