Adam De Monte

ALLIANCE, OHIO – (March 21, 2023) – The Alliance City Schools (ACS) Board of Education approved the recommendation to hire Adam De Monte as the principal of the newly formed preschool building located at Parkway, 1490 Parkway Blvd.

De Monte joined the ACS staff in 2013 as a preschool teacher at Alliance Early Learning School. For the past two years, he has served as the building's assistant principal and preschool coordinator.

“When the decision was made to move the preschool program, it made sense to have Adam as the principal,” said Superintendent Rob Gress. “He knows the preschool staff, families and the requirements to make this transition a successful one. I’m excited to see him lead our new preschool building as we work to provide a strong foundation of social and academic skills that will help our youngest Aviators take off in school and in life.”

De Monte received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood intervention and a master’s degree in education administration from Walsh University.

“I am very excited to lead an all preschool site,” De Monte said. “Moving into our own building will give us opportunities that were not possible before. We plan to use the added space to expand our indoor and outdoor learning environment, increase our family engagement events and strengthen partnerships with community organizations. My vision is to have a school that is welcoming, nurturing and supportive to all families in Alliance.”

Last month, the ACS administration announced the preschool program would be transitioning to Parkway starting next year after the alternative programs transition back into the buildings. More information about the transitions can be found here https://www.alliancecityschools.org/article/1007291.
