Superintendent's Message

Jeff Talbert

The 2014-2015 school year is off to a great start!  Our students, parents, teachers, support staff and administration have worked as a team to make sure the beginning of the year went as smoothly as possible.

Our schools had a lot to do to prepare for the new school year.  Our elementary schools were restructured over the summer, and a large part of the Aviator nation had to be moved.  More than three dozen of our teachers are working in a new building or teaching a new subject, and hundreds of our students have moved to new schools.  Thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our students, families and faculty, we handled all these changes and started the year with only minor hiccups.
This school year is shaping up to be a great one.  Increased student enrollment has made the Aviator nation grow bigger and better.  We have new curriculum materials in our science and math classes that will give students a greater understanding of the subjects.  Our fall athletic teams are off to a great start, including the newly formed girls' golf team.
I am anticipating a wonderful 2014-2015 school year.  Go Aviators!
