Alliance High School

This week two more Career Tech students from Alliance High School signed commitments with places of employment in their fields of study.

As part of a new tradition at Alliance High School, Career Tech graduates who gain employment in their field right after graduation were honored with a signing event on Monday.

\r\n

Anthony Windle, an Auto Technology student, signed a commitment of employment with Spitzer Ford located in Hartville.

\r\n

Mike Gietgey of Sptizer was at the signing event along with Windle’s parents, Mike and Debbie Windle.

\r\n

Anthony is already working for Spitzer and will be working as a Lube Tech and will go through training to become Ford Certified soon.

\r\n

He thanked Kevin Billingsley, the auto technology teacher at Alliance High School for his help and guidance.

\r\n

Kaleb Wilson, a Residential Construction student, signed a commitment of employment with Keller Construction.

\r\n

The commitment signed by students promises that they will be positive, show up, work hard, get along with others, pay it forward, be flexible, figure out solutions to problems, join their company’s club by representing it’s values, will not wine and will keep learning.  

\r\n

Kalob is the son of Josh and Luana Wilson. Steve Keller, owner of Keller Construction was also at the signing. He said Kalob’s job is ready for him the day he graduates.

\r\n

Kalob was the construction trades student of the year both his junior and senior years. He thanks his parents, grandparents, and Chris Felger, his Construction Trades teacher, for supporting him.

\r\n

He hopes to one day work his way up in the construction field and build his own house.

\r\n

Administration and High School staff and students from the Auto Tech and Construction Trades classes were at the signing event.

\r\n

Rob Gress, Assistant Superintendent explained that the Career Tech signing events will be a new tradition at the high school to celebrate students who receive jobs in their field out of high school, much like the students who sign to colleges to participate in athletics after high school.

Four students were honored last week for their commitments to work for MAC Trailer.
