DISCOVER SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH: Discover's college scholarship search tool gives students fast access to over 3 million scholarships. With this tool, students can customize their scholarship search to meet their unique needs. THROCKMORTON SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is for students who met these specific requirements: Student must be African American or Native American and must reside within the Northeast Ohio or Western Pennsylvania geographic region, have a copy of birth certificate, attend an educational facility that must be in Northeastern Ohio or Western Pennsylvania, have a copy of current High School/College grades and GPA, have a current financial needs form from the school that documents grants, scholarships and loans being presently received, have a current bill from the school for the next semester/quarter, have a copy of the courses being taken for the next semester/quarter, write a one or more short paragraphs that should state why you should be considered, your future goals, college major/minor, needs, extracurricular activities at school or in the community, and send in final high school transcript (if applying during senior year of high school). Click here for more info.  Or, email april.m.thomas@huntington.com for questions regarding the scholarship.

DISTINGUISHED YOUNG WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is for any young lady in the class of 2018 who is involved in school and/or community activities, has outstanding in academics, leadership, athletics, or the arts.  Click here for the link to the application.


OHIO UNIVERSITY CHEMICAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available through Ohio University for any student interested in chemical engineering who is an Alliance High School graduate. Requirements include admission to Ohio University and acceptance into the Engineering college. Click here for the website to access the website. THE BEAUTY + WELLNESS SCHOLARSHIP: This $1,000 scholarship is to support the health of college women. Requirements: Must be a graduating high school senior, current college undergraduate, or current graduate student at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical school in the United States, must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, and must identify as female. All majors and GPAs are welcome to apply! Click here for the application. The scholarship will be given out quarterly. Deadlines are January 1, March 31, June 30, and September 30 every year.


HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIPS: These national and state scholarships are based on students pursuing a bachelor's degree, who have at least a 2.0 GPA and who need financial assistance for college. Click here for link


CARING.COM SCHOLARSHIP: As the population of older adults continues to grow and life spans lengthen, more and more young people are taking on the role of caregiver for older loved ones. While the exact number of young people taking on this responsibility is not well understood, it’s estimated to be well over 1 million.On top of their demanding caregiving duties, many of these young people are simultaneously pursuing high school, college or graduate-level education. Scholarships for student-caregivers help ease the financial burden faced by these extremely hardworking students. Click here for multiple scholarships. THE COLLEGE CLUB OF CANTON CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANT: This one time $2500 scholarship is for local women in the Greater Stark County area. Applicants must be attending an accredited college or university in the spring or fall of 2020 and be working toward a two-year, four-year or post graduate degree. Character, need, GPA, work ethic, community participation and commitment to the major and/or career choice will be considered. Click here for application. DEADLINE: September 1, 2019


OPPU ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP: To apply for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, submit a short essay. Scholarship decisions are based solely on an applicant’s essay response. Winners for the OppU Achievers Scholarship are selected four times a year, with submission deadlines on September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30. To be eligible for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, a student must be enrolled full time in high school or at least part time in college, graduate, professional, or trade school and possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0. Click here for the application. OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY, INC. KAPPA TAU CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP: Kappa Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will award scholarships to academically talented African American students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and who have participated in a college preparatory program.Candidates must submit a completed application that MUST BE TYPED, two letters of recommendation that MUST BE TYPED, a picture, a brief autobiography, along with a current high school transcript, and the form to be completed by the counselor to this e-mail address: kappataukrs@oppf.org. Click here for the applicationClick here for the evaluation. DEADLINE: October 11, 2019.


DIRK DERRICK CAR & TRUCK ACCIDENT INJURY SCHOLARSHIP: The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergrad in the United States who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged on their ability to convey the lasting effect an auto accident has had on their life as well as their journey to overcome those challenges. Students applying must submit an essay where you explain, present, inspire, or otherwise convince us as to why you deserve to win this scholarship.There are no conditions or requirements for this essay. THE HEER LAW ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOLARSHIP: At Heer Law, we know students have great entrepreneurial ideas. We also know that many startup businesses start by bootstrapping whereby the initial funding comes from the founder's personal funds. For young entrepreneurs, a lack of personal funds combined with educational costs can seriously stall the progress they make in moving their business ideas forward. So, we've set up a scholarship to help. To apply for the scholarship please send us, in confidence, a copy of the business plan for your current or prospective business, together with the details outlined in the scholarship criteria below. Since we are an intellectual property law firm, your business plan must include a section outlining your business's intellectual property strategy for our consideration. In order to be eligible for the $2000 CAD scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Must be currently attending university or college or set to attend during the 2019-2020 academic year; must be in good standing with their current or prospective institution; must apply via email and provide their name, address, university or college, major and expected graduation month and year; provide their application (a business plan for their current or prospective business which includes a section outlining intellectual property strategy) by December 31, 2019. Applications will be judged on the strength of the business idea and the cogency of the business plan and intellectual property strategy. All submissions should be submitted via email to scholarship@heerlaw.com. CRAZYGAMES SCHOLARSHIP: This $1,500 Worldwide Student Scholarship is for both current students and rising freshmen. It be awarded to one student and the money will be transferred to their University to go towards the tuition fee. The student will be chosen based on their creativity and commitment to digital media and game development. The choice will be made by the scholarship committee of 2 game publishing experts, and 2 game developers. To apply, applicants need to submit one piece of work. There are no limits on the form of this work. Examples of work would be a game prototype, an essay related to games, an overview of game development technologies, and so forth. The work will remain the student's property. CrazyGames will only consider the work for this scholarship, and will not use it for any other purposes. OHIO TOUR GUIDE SCHOLARSHIP: At The Zebra, we know better than most just what a pain buying car insurance can be. We also know that students suffer from higher-than-average policy rates. Talk about a double-whammy. That’s why, this year, we’ve decided to continue The Zebra’s annual scholarship with the goal of helping to alleviate the financial pressures of college-bound students in the Ohio area, while also getting an insider view of the Buckeye State. So, students, we want to see your favorite road trip destination(s) in your state— from your unique perspective. If it makes sense to hit the open road and be our virtual tour guide, that's great! But there are no limits to what we're looking for: a narrated animation, a slideshow of memorabilia, an illustrated map of the best roadside attractions on the way. This is a chance for you to showcase any place you love in as an original way as possible. PHENCLINICS SCHOLARSHIP: To participate in the scholarship, please create a unique content piece in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 words covering the subject of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle in 2019. We’d like to see the following discussions included: Trends in nutrition (intermittent fasting, carb backloading, paleo, IIFYM, etc), Trends in workout/fitness methods, How tech (like mobile devices) has affected the idea of a healthy lifestyle, Your own ideas are also welcome. We will review all submissions and choose the best content piece. The winner will receive the $1,000 scholarship reward which is intended to be used for educational purposes. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwood Realty Services is sponsoring the 2019-2020 Dream...Innovate... Grow Scholarship(s) to three amazing seniors that embody one or more of these traits. Each scholarship is valued at $1000 per year, for up to four years. Seeking three qualified individuals who intend to become a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the fall of 2020.
